Johnny Rawls –
Johnny Rawls is a soul blues legend with too many accolades to mention here. With a career spanning more than 50 years, he’s done it all. He’s an internationally recognized recording artist, music producer, and songwriter who tours extensively nationally and internationally.
The Blues Music Awards, Blues Blast Awards, Living Blues Awards, and the W. C. Handy Awards have all acknowledged Johnny with 26 Nominations and 9 Blues Awards, including Soul Blues Album of the Year and Soul Blues Artist of the Year. Living Blues Magazine described him as a “soul-blues renaissance man” when he was featured on the cover in 2002. Johnny is honored to be mentioned on two markers along the Mississippi Blues Trail – one in Hattiesburg, MS marking the Hi-Hat Club, and another in Rocklin ME marking the migration of blues from Mississippi to Maine.
Jimmy Wooten –
Hailing from Shreveport, Louisiana, Jimmy Wooten is a seasoned musician who has toured the past fifteen years with bands internationally, but, with the recent release of his fourteen-track debut album, Collision Course, he is solidifying himself as a true songsmith. With a sound rooted in rock, country, blues, and soul, his music takes you on an auditory journey that you won’t soon forget.
Skyler Saufley –
As a self-taught multi-instrumentalist, Skyler Saufley is not your typical blues artist, and his journey to become one is uniquely his own.
Specializing in jump, swing, and west coast style blues, coupled with his impeccable stage presence and knack for showmanship, Saufley’s talent becomes impossible to ignore, evoking the spirit of blues legends T-Bone Walker and Pee Wee Crayton.
Kendall Jackson –
Kendall Jackson is a dynamic saxophonist known for the intensity and passion he brings to every performance. His powerful, soulful sound has captivated audiences across North Florida, Georgia, and Alabama, earning him a reputation as a rising star in the regional music scene. Kendall’s remarkable talent and energy leave a lasting impression, making him one of the most talked-about saxophonists in the area.

Indulge your inner artist with a two-hour glass blowing session! Hot Glass Academy glassblowing studio will set up a furnace on WMA’s campus. Each workshop session begins with a comprehensive safety introduction to working with hot glass. Students then begin their one-on-one session with the instructor by picking out one or two glass colors for their object, followed by a brief, fun warm-up with glass and tools for each student to become familiar with the material properties of molten glass. Next, students will gather glass on a steel blowpipe or rod, apply their chosen color(s), and shape the glass into the selected form. Each piece will be placed in the annealing oven for a slow cooling process*. Every object is handmade and no two are exactly the same. Students will have the option to create a cup, ornament, paperweight, or flower.
This is an EXCLUSIVE workshop. Hot Glass Academy no longer hosts workshops outside of their studio in Georgia, so make sure you reserve your spot TODAY!
*Objects will be available for pickup the next day, following the slow cooling process.

As the Civil Rights movement is brewing, a controversial children’s book about a black rabbit marrying a white rabbit stirs the passions of a segregationist State Senator and a no-nonsense State Librarian in 1959 Montgomery, Alabama. A contrasting story of childhood friends—an African American man and a white woman of privilege, reunited in adulthood—provides private counterpoint to the public events swirling in the state capital. Political foes, star-crossed lovers, and one feisty children’s author inhabit the same page in a Deep South of the imagination that brims with humor, heartbreak, and hope. Inspired by true events!

Guests from as young as 14 months are invited to participate in a children’s book reading and explorable activities in one of our museum galleries. This experience allows families to explore WMA’s galleries before they open to the public—reducing crowds, noise, and overstimulation.

Over the course of their remarkable career, seminal rock band
Alice In Chains (vocalist/guitarist Jerry Cantrell, drummer Sean Kinney, bassist Mike Inez and vocalist/guitarist William DuVall) have garnered multiple Grammy nominations, sold more than 30 million albums worldwide, and amassed a diehard international fanbase whose members number in the millions.
Their discography features some of the biggest and most important albums in rock history, including 1992’s quadruple-platinum-certified Dirt, 1994’s triple-platinum-certified EP Jar of Flies, which was the first EP in music history to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200, and 1995’s self-titled double-platinum-certified Alice In Chains, which also entered the Billboard Top 200 at No. 1. They returned in grand style in 2009 with the critically acclaimed Black Gives Way To Blue, which hit No. 1 across the rock and alternative charts, earned a Grammy nomination, was certified Gold, and was hailed by Vice as “a record that’s as powerful as anything the band has done.” Alice In Chains remains one of the most successful and influential American rock bands of all time.

Born just outside of Austin, Texas, Ty grew up on a cattle ranch owned by his family for more than six generations. He clung on to music as a kid and never let go, obsessing over an expansive range of artists like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Bill Withers, and Otis Redding to Chris Stapleton and George Strait. Devoting every waking minute to writing songs and playing music, he gave up baseball and football and opted for homeschooling in order to wholeheartedly pursue his dream. During 2023, he made waves with his debut single “Tie That Binds,” gaining traction organically and generating over 11 million Spotify streams. On its heels, “Drinkin’ Alone” exploded with over 26 million Spotify streams and counting. Between packing houses in his home state and sharing the stage with Willie Nelson, he has performed countless sold out shows across the states and wrapped up dates on Wade Bowen and Randy Rogers Band’s Hold My Beer Tour before embarking on his headline run.

This event is only for ages 10 and up and we’ll be building various sets at this event. The library offers a different Lego Club monthly for patrons who are not old enough for this event.
All building sets will be provided and will remain at the library when completed.
Some of our sets are basic and some are more detailed. Because of this, we’ve set aside three hours for the event. Don’t feel pressured to stay the entire time, we know life can really be lifing sometimes.
No experience is required and there is no pressure for skill, just bring your creativity and willingness to have fun.

Country Music Hall of Famer Randy Travis has announced that the More Life Tour will hit the road again in 2025! Following a successful 2024 run, Randy, his original touring band, and special guest vocalist James Dupré are ready to bring this extraordinary musical experience to fans across the country. The tour promises an unforgettable journey through Travis’ chart-topping hits, enhanced by video highlights from his celebrated career in music, film and television. Presale begins September 18 at 10 A.M., with public tickets available on Friday, September 20 at 10 A.M. Fans can find ticket information at RandyTravis.com.
Although Travis won’t perform vocally due to the stroke he suffered in 2013, he will appear on stage with his wife, Mary, engaging with fans, interacting with the band, and celebrating the music. Dupré and the band will perform all of his iconic No. 1 hits, including “On the Other Hand,” “Forever and Ever, Amen,” and “Three Wooden Crosses.”
“The More Life Tour celebrates something so much more than a musical moment in time—it’s a gift to me to spend time with my fans, and my band, as James Dupre perfectly presents the songs that best define my career. We look forward to seeing you all somewhere along the way,” said Randy Travis.
“I’m thrilled and honored to hit the road again with my hero and friend, Randy Travis. I’m looking forward to meeting and singing along with all the Randy Travis fans in 2025,” said James Dupré.
