You are invited to the Wiregrass Pan-Hellenic Council’s 11th Annual MLK Classic Step Show. This will be held after the Annual March/Parade and MLK Day Program. It will feature steppers from various college NPHC fraternities and sororities, local youth groups, and much more. This annual program serves multiple purposes including that of exposing our community to the “Divine 9” International Greek letter Fraternities and Sororities in the Wiregrass, providing a unique celebration of MLK’s holiday, providing an opportunity for community service, and another opportunity for our NPHC and partners to motivate the youth of the Wiregrass to attend college.

Dissolving hauntingly into the Last Supper and the Crucifixion, Jesus’ messages of kindness, tolerance and love come vibrantly to life.
Our competition team will take this 20-minute cut of Godspell JR. to the National Performing Arts Festival in Orlando, FL. Come see our most advanced students in this vocally and choreographically impressive ensemble piece and enjoy individual student performances from a range of musical theatre favorites.

We invite area preschool age children (up to age 6) to throw on a costume and join the Wagon Parade. Too old for a wagon, join the fun in the Elementary Walking Float Parade. Kids age 7 to 9 can participate in a wearable float. This category is simple and fun, just grab an old box, some art supplies and use your creativity.
No kiddos? Bring a Pet! We’re inviting pet owners to enter their dogs in the Pet Parade. This is a great way for older kids to participate in the day. There is a $10 Entry fee per pet- the proceeds benefit the WIREGRASS HUMANE SOCIETY. Costumed pets encouraged!
We will give awards in these pet costume categories: Best King, Best Queen, Best Duke, Best Duchess, Best Overall Costume.
No preschooler and no pet? Just come to watch the show! Stroll through the park and enjoy our Mystics of Solomon Park supporters. All proceeds benefit our furry friends at WIREGRASS HUMANE SOCIETY.

Johnny Rawls –
Johnny Rawls is a soul blues legend with too many accolades to mention here. With a career spanning more than 50 years, he’s done it all. He’s an internationally recognized recording artist, music producer, and songwriter who tours extensively nationally and internationally.
The Blues Music Awards, Blues Blast Awards, Living Blues Awards, and the W. C. Handy Awards have all acknowledged Johnny with 26 Nominations and 9 Blues Awards, including Soul Blues Album of the Year and Soul Blues Artist of the Year. Living Blues Magazine described him as a “soul-blues renaissance man” when he was featured on the cover in 2002. Johnny is honored to be mentioned on two markers along the Mississippi Blues Trail – one in Hattiesburg, MS marking the Hi-Hat Club, and another in Rocklin ME marking the migration of blues from Mississippi to Maine.
Jimmy Wooten –
Hailing from Shreveport, Louisiana, Jimmy Wooten is a seasoned musician who has toured the past fifteen years with bands internationally, but, with the recent release of his fourteen-track debut album, Collision Course, he is solidifying himself as a true songsmith. Skyler Saufley –
As a self-taught multi-instrumentalist, Skyler Saufley is not your typical blues artist, and his journey to become one is uniquely his own.
