13th Annual Gardens Aglow Event: The Largest Holiday Light Show in the Wiregrass Region!

Make plans to attend our 13th Annual “Gardens Aglow” event! Running between Thanksgiving and Christmas, “Gardens Aglow” is the largest Holiday Light show in the Wiregrass Region. 🎄 The Gardens will be transformed into a winter wonderland of Christmas lights, displays, music, food trucks, and more for a true family-oriented event for visitors to enjoy as you stroll our paved walkways. ☃️❄️ Purchase your tickets today!! 🎟

New displays will be added this year, including a “Whoville”area, as well as several other additions to existing features. Children will enjoy discussing their Christmas list with Santa at the Farmhouse and looking for the variety of stuffed animals hidden along the walkway in a Scavenger Hunt (bring your flashlights!) throughout the Gardens. 🔦

🗓 This popular event will be offered from 5-8 pm on the following nights: November 28 & 29; December 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 22 & 23rd. Advance timed tickets can be purchased online on the Gardens website (www.dabg.com) for a particular date and arrival time. You must enter the Gardens during your scheduled entry time.

Regardless of scheduled entry time, visitors can stay until the event closes at 8 pm. General admission tickets are $12 adults/$8 kids, with advance/online tickets selling for $10 adults/$6 kids. Garden members will receive a discount on purchase price. Age 3 and under free.

The Gardens will close at 4 PM on the days of Gardens Aglow. Several food trucks will be onsite serving a variety of food and drinks. 🌭🥤

📍 The Dothan Area Botanical Garden is located at 5130 Headland Ave. in Dothan. The pet-friendly (must be on leash) facility is open from 9:00am-6pm seven days a week. Running between Thanksgiving and Christmas, “Gardens Aglow” is the largest Holiday Light show in the Wiregrass Region. 🎄 The Gardens will be transformed into a winter wonderland of Christmas lights, displays, music, food trucks, and more for a true family-oriented event for visitors to enjoy as you stroll our paved walkways. ☃️❄️ Purchase your tickets today!! 🎟

New displays will be added this year, including a “Whoville”area, as well as several other additions to existing features. Children will enjoy discussing their Christmas list with Santa at the Farmhouse and looking for the variety of stuffed animals hidden along the walkway in a Scavenger Hunt (bring your flashlights!) throughout the Gardens. 🔦

🗓 This popular event will be offered from 5-8 pm on the following nights: November 28 & 29; December 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 22 & 23rd. Wreaths Across America

On Saturday, December 13, more than 1,200 cemeteries across America will invite their communities to pay tribute to fallen heroes by taking part in National Wreaths Across America Day.
Citizens will recognize our military veteran’s courage and sacrifice by placing a live evergreen wreath on a veteran’s grave. Sunset Memorial Park, in partnership with the local chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR), is honored to host this event for the Wiregrass.

There will be a brief ceremony at Sunset Memorial Park, beginning at 12 pm. Following the ceremony, the general public is invited to place wreaths on veteran graves.

13th Annual Gardens Aglow Event: The Largest Holiday Light Show in the Wiregrass Region!

Make plans to attend our 13th Annual “Gardens Aglow” event! Running between Thanksgiving and Christmas, “Gardens Aglow” is the largest Holiday Light show in the Wiregrass Region. 🎄 The Gardens will be transformed into a winter wonderland of Christmas lights, displays, music, food trucks, and more for a true family-oriented event for visitors to enjoy as you stroll our paved walkways. ☃️❄️ Purchase your tickets today!! 🎟

New displays will be added this year, including a “Whoville”area, as well as several other additions to existing features. Children will enjoy discussing their Christmas list with Santa at the Farmhouse and looking for the variety of stuffed animals hidden along the walkway in a Scavenger Hunt (bring your flashlights!) throughout the Gardens. 🔦

🗓 This popular event will be offered from 5-8 pm on the following nights: November 28 & 29; December 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 22 & 23rd. Advance timed tickets can be purchased online on the Gardens website (www.dabg.com) for a particular date and arrival time. You must enter the Gardens during your scheduled entry time.

Regardless of scheduled entry time, visitors can stay until the event closes at 8 pm. General admission tickets are $12 adults/$8 kids, with advance/online tickets selling for $10 adults/$6 kids. Garden members will receive a discount on purchase price. Age 3 and under free.

The Gardens will close at 4 PM on the days of Gardens Aglow. Several food trucks will be onsite serving a variety of food and drinks. 🌭🥤

Running between Thanksgiving and Christmas, “Gardens Aglow” is the largest Holiday Light show in the Wiregrass Region. 🎄 The Gardens will be transformed into a winter wonderland of Christmas lights, displays, music, food trucks, and more for a true family-oriented event for visitors to enjoy as you stroll our paved walkways. ☃️❄️ Purchase your tickets today!! 🎟

New displays will be added this year, including a “Whoville”area, as well as several other additions to existing features. Children will enjoy discussing their Christmas list with Santa at the Farmhouse and looking for the variety of stuffed animals hidden along the walkway in a Scavenger Hunt (bring your flashlights!) throughout the Gardens. 🔦

🗓 This popular event will be offered from 5-8 pm on the following nights: November 28 & 29; December 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 22 & 23rd. ABOUT TAB BENOIT:
Tab Benoit is a 4x Grammy nominated singer, songwriter and guitarist who has built a remarkable 30+ year career on the foundation of his gritty and soulful Delta swamp blues, acquiring a devoted legion of fans along the way, as well as 5 Blues Music Awards, including BB King Entertainer of the Year (twice) and an induction into The Louisiana Music Hall of Fame.

After a 13-year hiatus, Tab is back with his latest effort, I Hear Thunder, on his own label, Whiskey Bayou Records. The new album was his first #1 in the Billboard charts in over 30 years. Read more about it in Billboard here. Benoit’s 2013 release, Medicine, was co-produced with Anders Osborne for Concord International, and garnered three Blues Music Awards. Following this notable success, Benoit took a step away from music, taking a 13-year sabbatical from recording and entering a period of creative exile.

Tab’s accomplishments as a musician are matched only by his devotion to the environmental health of his native Louisiana wetlands. The notoriety achieved by his success provided him with a mouthpiece to promote his growing concern for the Louisiana Wetlands and coastal erosion from the region he calls home. Benoit is the founder and driving force behind Voice of the Wetlands, an organization working to preserve the coastal waters of his home state. In 2010, he received the Governor’s Award for Conservationist of the Year from the Louisiana Wildlife Federation. Benoit has also starred in the iMax motion picture Hurricane on the Bayou, a documentary of Hurricane Katrina’s effects and a call to protect and restore the Wetlands.

ABOUT SAMANTHA FISH:
One of the most formidable guitarists of her generation, Samantha Fish deals in her own unmatched brand of bravado, bringing both mind-blowing power and extraordinary emotionality to everything she creates. Since first introducing the world to her larger-than-life talent, the multi-award-winning festival headliner has built a triumphant career whose latest milestones include earning a Grammy nomination for Death Wish Blues (her 2023 collaboration with rocker Jesse Dayton) and opening for The Rolling Stones on their final 2024 U.S. tour date. On her new album Paper Doll, Fish offers up nine powerhouse songs that hit with an unstoppable force, each delivered with an exquisite dose of illuminating insight, soul-soothing empathy, and—above all—newly heightened clarity of vision. “It’s taken me years to finally find my voice in a studio setting,” Fish admits. “But with this record I took everything I had, and slammed it right on the table.”

Fish’s first-ever album recorded with her touring band, Paper Doll takes its title from the first song the Kansas City-bred musician penned for the LP: a raw yet reflective battle cry that perfectly encapsulates the album’s spirit of unapologetic defiance. “That song’s a feminist anthem in a way—but then again, every song’s a feminist anthem when you’re a woman writing from your own experience,” says Fish. “It’s about rebelling against other people’s expectations of who you’re supposed to be, which feels pretty relevant for the times we’re living in right now.”

Recorded at The Orb in Austin and Savannah Studios in L.A., Paper Doll marks the latest entry in an uncompromising and endlessly adventurous catalog that’s found her working with luminaries like Jon Spencer of Jon Spencer Blues Explosion as well as Luther Dickinson (co-founder of North Mississippi Allstars and former member of the Black Crowes). This time around, Fish reunited with Detroit garage-rock icon Bobby Harlow, who also produced her 2017 LP Chills & Fever. “When I look back on Chills & Fever I realize that Bobby was pushing me into some cool and dangerous places, but at that phase in my life I was holding back a bit,” she says. “Now I’m at a point where I’m ready to give people something totally unexpected, something that breaks the pop formula and really takes its time to tell a story with the guitar <a href="http://playing.”
