Headland Country Club
Headland Country Club is a semi-private golf course located in Headland, with a challenging and well maintained golf course, pool and club house. The golf course is open to the public but they do offer memberships for occasional players.

Eastgate Park
Eastgate Park is 200 acres of green recreation space. It is anchored by a picnic pavilion, sand volleyball court, and playground. Surrounding Eastgate Park is a 2 mile walking trail with a ¼ mile boardwalk, stocked fish ponds, and an archery range. There is a fenced-in dog park, allowing pet owners to take their pets off-leash to enjoy a green space with exercise equipment. Adjoining Eastgate Park is the Lowell Roundtree Baseball Park with 4 fields. Dothan's only disc golf park is located at Eastgate Park, with 18-holes for public play.

Beaver Creek Trail
Dothan boasts the only urban Forever Wild Land Trust Trail in Alabama. Winding 10 miles on the northwest side of town, Beaver Creek Trail is new and full of challenges for trail biking and hiking. This trail is marked and easy to navigate, with two entrances – one on Flowers Chapel Road and the other on Fortner Street. The trail is open to the public for biking and hiking during daylight hours.

Wiregrass Recreation Center is the former home of Dothan’s minor league baseball team. In the community center, it includes a gymnasium, full kitchen, meeting rooms, weight room, an outdoor pool, and a playground. The sports park includes 9 tennis courts and 6 multi use flag football and soccer fields.

Walton Park
Walton Park features a recreation center that houses a gymnasium, a fitness/weight room, one classroom, and two meeting rooms plus a kitchen. The park consists of two ball fields, an outdoor swimming pool, two lighted hard surface combination of tennis and pickleball courts, a lighted 0.66-mile asphalt walking trail, the Walton Woods disc golf, two playgrounds, a pavilion and picnic tables near the walking trail.

Doug Tew Community Center
Amenities located on the 15-acre property include five ball fields, a swimming pool, outdoor basketball court, picnic pavilion, and a playground area. Three Dixie Youth baseball fields and one Dixie Boys Ozone Field are located in the athletic complex. Also, located at the baseball fields is a small picnic area, and restrooms. Closest to the community center is a girls’ softball field.

Water World
Located within Westgate Park, Water World is Dothan’s Most Exciting Beach! This water park features a giant wave pool, Great White water slide and kiddie pool, with pool decks for sunning and enjoying the summer days. In addition to the water park, you’ll find a gift shop, arcade, and concession stand, as well as a picnic pavilion for you to host a birthday party or cool off with ice cream. Troy Dothan Mountain Bike Trail
Check out this 4.9-mile loop trail near Dothan, Alabama. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 1 h 37 min to complete. This trail is great for hiking and mountain biking, and it's unlikely you'll encounter many other people while exploring. The best times to visit this trail are February through April.

Andrew Belle Community Center
Andrew Belle Community Center houses a gymnasium, a club room, a computer/homework room, a game room, and a small kitchen. The park consists of three ball fields, a swimming pool and splash pad, and an outdoor basketball court. This is a specialty youth center that is designed around programs for young people.
