Beaver Creek Trail
Dothan boasts the only urban Forever Wild Land Trust Trail in Alabama. Winding 10 miles on the northwest side of town, Beaver Creek Trail is new and full of challenges for trail biking and hiking. This trail is marked and easy to navigate, with two entrances – one on Flowers Chapel Road and the other on Fortner Street. The trail is open to the public for biking and hiking during daylight hours.

Eastgate Park
Eastgate Park is 200 acres of green recreation space. It is anchored by a picnic pavilion, sand volleyball court, and playground. Surrounding Eastgate Park is a 2 mile walking trail with a ¼ mile boardwalk, stocked fish ponds, and an archery range. There is a fenced-in dog park, allowing pet owners to take their pets off-leash to enjoy a green space with exercise equipment. Adjoining Eastgate Park is the Lowell Roundtree Baseball Park with 4 fields. Dothan's only disc golf park is located at Eastgate Park, with 18-holes for public play.

Grandview Field
The NFL Flag football field at the Izell Reese Community Center is a vibrant hub for football enthusiasts of all ages. With its meticulously maintained NFL branded turf and clear boundary lines, it offers a safe and inviting space for players to showcase their skills and passion for the game. The field hosts the annual NFL Flag Super Regional every fall affording NFL Flag teams a final chance to secure their spot in the Pro Bowl!

James Oates Park
James Oates Park is a 87 acre park that features two complexes – a six-field baseball complex and a six-field softball complex. All fields are AstroTurf, installed in 2022. Each complex features parking, a concessions building, and press box. Also on the grounds of James Oates is a playground and walking trails. This player friendly, fun course is an alternative to larger courses. This 18-hole, Par 72 course is surrounded by a picturesque setting with lakes and tree lines. This championship course features tiff eagle greens and a separate putting green and driving range.

Rip Hewes Athletic Complex
Rip Hewes Athletic Complex is home to Dothan’s largest football stadium, which features 10,000 seats and a recently renovated press box. In 2022 it was renovated with a new AstroTurf playing surface. The stadium is used for Dothan’s high school football games and community events. Also in the complex are two softball fields, one baseball field, six tennis courts, and a concession stand.

Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Highland Oaks
Located in the southeast corner of Alabama, Highland Oaks offers 36 holes of championship golf, including a 9-hole Par 3 course. The Highlands/Magnolia combination was named by Golf Digest's "Places to Play" as one of the nation's Great Value courses. Highland Oaks offers a pro shop, clubhouse, grill, and membership options. Highland Oaks is home to the annual Korn Ferry Tour Q School, a precursor to the PGA Tour.

Walton Park
Walton Park features a recreation center that houses a gymnasium, a fitness/weight room, one classroom, and two meeting rooms plus a kitchen. The park consists of two ball fields, an outdoor swimming pool, two lighted hard surface combination of tennis and pickleball courts, a lighted 0.66-mile asphalt walking trail, the Walton Woods disc golf, two playgrounds, a pavilion and picnic tables near the walking trail.

Westgate Park
Westgate Park is the largest city park in Dothan comprised of a community recreation center, 5-field softball complex, 4-field baseball complex, 3-field soccer complex, football stadium, Miracle League sports fields, tennis complex, BMX track, outdoor fitness court, biking trail and walking trails. Also located within Westgate Park is Water World, Dothan’s water theme park and a Houston County Library Extension. Two playgrounds are located at Westgate Park - Kiwanis Park, with playsets for both big and little kids, and Miracle Playground, an inclusive, all-abilities playground.

Wiregrass Recreation Center is the former home of Dothan’s minor league baseball team.
